How You Can Prepare for Christmas in Advance!
Make a list of people you will buy for.
This might seem really simple, however, I know people that don’t make lists at all. They are literally being led by the shops and end up buying presents for people they really don’t need to. It’s the same as food shopping, making a list saves you money, keeps you focussed and obviously, keeps you organised.
Write your Christmas Dinner list
This is one thing that you can do waaaay in advance. Write down everything you need for your Christmas dinner and then stick it to the fridge. It’ll save you time and brain space when the Christmas countdown is in full swing.

Decide how much you want to spend on each person
I do this every year. I set a limit for each person. For example, I always spend more on my kids than I do my brothers and sister. I spend the same amount on my mum and dad, and a secret Santa among friends.

Have a look in any sales for bargains
This one takes a bit of forward planning to prepare for Christmas. Have you got a holiday next year? If so, but something in the sale ready for it. Take advantage of events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday for maximum money-saving potential.
Start getting your craft supplies now!
I am a big crafter especially for Christmas as it’s great to get the kids involved. You can usually find everything you need throughout the year (except exceptionally Christmassy items). You will find as soon as it has CHRISTMAS on the label, the price will go up. If this is your thing, make sure you prepare for Christmas crafting as soon as you spot those first bits.
Make notes on your phone about what the kids say they want
My mum used to make me go through the Argos catalogue and circle everything I wanted. Nowadays the notes section of our phones is more convenient. Plus, you’ll have a huge selection of things that actually want without being stuck for ideas.
Once you have made these notes, why not transfer them to a wish list on Amazon. That way you can easily shop for all the items that you need, as well as finding the best deal. Love putting pen to paper to make notes? Then click below to download my free planner!
