As a mum, I am constantly trying to squeeze some ‘me’ time in. Whether it’s 10 minutes of silence, a bubble bath or an over-the-top hot chocolate. Long gone are the days where I could have a pamper night at home on a Friday after a long week and sink into a bathtub a foot high with bubbles.
Let’s be honest, most days I’m happy just to be able to go for a wee on my own.
For anyone that knows me, or follows me on Instagram (you can do that on the right, over there if you don’t already—>) they will know that I absolutely LOVE Soap & Glory products. I love the branding, the scents and the vast array of products they have as well. Literally everything about them.
I know they aren’t the cheapest of products, but I think of them as a treat. Or even better, ask for Soap & Glory gift sets for Christmas or birthday (that’s where my collection comes from). The great thing is, that 99% of Soap & Glory products aren’t a one time use. You can have multiple relaxing pamper night treats out of them!
For mums wanting a bit of ‘me’ time, a bit of a treat or a boost, I have included all the lovely things I used for my DIY pamper night the other week. Plus a little extra for when you’re short of time or fancy something indulgent and calorific that isn’t alcoholic, perfect if you’re still breastfeeding.

Scrub of Your Life. £7.00
This is one of the better Soap & Glory body scrubs I’ve used. It’s in quite a thick base, which means the exfoliating particles don’t just wash off as soon as you use it. That also means you can use less of it, which means more uses overall. This is the first one of this size that I have used, so I’m not sure how long it will last. Considering you don’t have to exfoliate every time you bath or shower it should last a little while.
Clean on Me. £6.50
This is the second one of the big pump bottles I’ve bought. They last months, I think my first one lasted me over 6 months. I think this is helped by the fact that you don’t need a lot of product to get an amazing amount of bubbles.
Calm One Calm All. £6.50
This bubble bath smells amazing! It also really feels so soft when your laying surrounded by bubbles. I used quite a lot of this to get a decent amount of bubbles, but I reckon I could get about 6 bubbly baths out of it.
Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Vitamin C Facial Wash. £8.00
This is my daily face wash and I love it. It has this cooling sensation when you apply it and doesn’t dry your skin out, which is something I’ve always struggled with and it’s really helped clear my skin up. The microbeads aren’t really worth it if your looking for an exfoliator as well, but the face wash is still worth it in my opinion.
I think for a price tag of £30 this combo for an indulgent bubble bath isn’t half bad. Plus, you can still use these things in the shower (probably not the bubble bath though!). It’s getting the most for your money and all of these are probably going to last you about 2 months on average if you had a pamper night once a week. Not a bad deal!
Post-Bath Pampering Time!
To go all the way with your DIY pamper night, you need some post-bath pampering. These will leave you feeling smooth, silky and revitalised.
Hand Food. £8.00
I use this multiple times a day. I wash my hands a lot, so I need to make sure I use moisturiser every time to make sure my hands don’t dry out. A small amount of Hand Food and it leave my hands feeling soft and silky. If you use too much it can be a little greasy, but that amount will be different for everyone. So don’t rule it out, play around with how much your hands actually need.
This is my first full-size pump of Hand Food, but I reckon this will last me a few months and I seem to be constantly washing my hands at the moment. How long will it last for someone that isn’t quite as obsessive about clean hands and moisturising them? 3-4 months easily.
Heel Genius. £5.50
Slather it on your feet (massage optional) and pop on some cotton socks, then leave them overnight. My feet felt like they were walking on air. A great addition to finish off a home pedi as well. I don’t do this very often, as I hate sleeping with socks on so my tube of Heel Genius has lasted me a long time. I never regret it when I do it though. Much cheaper than a trip to the nail bar for a spa pedi!

Righteous Butter. £10.00
As with all of Soap & Glory moisturising products, you don’t need a lot of them. I mean what I say, a little goes a long way. I always find that pairing my body wash and moisturisers helps the amazing scent last longer than usual.
Puffy Eye Attack Turbo-Boost Hydragel. £12.50
This was a new buy for me. As a second-time mum, I was feeling the effect of sleep deprivation and trying to keep up with two children. My eyes were definitely showing it as well. I’ve been using this as part of my normal skincare routine in the morning and there has been a slight improvement in the puffiness. Not a miracle cure for dark circles, but that’s what a good concealer is for!
I was surprised when I first used this product because it is like jelly. You need very little of it, so even though it’s a small pot, the price tag isn’t actually that bad. Perhaps I may have seen a bigger improvement in my eyes if I had been using it morning and night?
Puffy Eye Attack Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches. £3.50
This is the first out of the 1-time use products. I got these as part of a Christmas present and was eager to try them in combination with my new Turbo-Boost Hydragel. I’ll admit that I wasn’t sure how these would stay on my face, but I was pleasantly surprised. They stuck pretty well and just added to my pamper night really. By the end, I felt like I had pampered each and every part of me, which after pregnancy and then motherhood, had been neglected slightly.
Bright and Beautiful Radiance-Boosting Face Mask. £4.00
This isn’t the first Soap & Glory facemask I’ve used. This one had a freshness to it and my skin did look brighter afterwards. The only downside to their face masks is that they slip down your face, so you have to lie down to keep them in place…not really a downside on a pamper night though is it?
Want to skip the bubble bath and just opt for the post-bath pampering? It’ll cost £43.50. I know, that sounds like a lot of money, however, all but £7.50 of that is multiple uses. Doesn’t sound so bad now does it?
I couldn’t resist a glass of pink fizz with my bath! I was uber scared of this glass placement though!
Some Bathtime Extras
Up in the Hair! Hair Turban. £8.00
I love my hair turban and use it every bath and shower. I think everyone with long hair should own one.
Bubble Booster Shower Puff. £4.00
These are so big and…is fluffy the word? probably not, but they deffo create an insane amount of bubbles!
Total Pamper Night Price: £83.50
This total price can seem like a shocker. How can I spend nearly £100.00 for a pamper night at home?! the truth is, that this is probably unrealistic for most people to go out and buy everything all at once.
My advice? Buy two products at a time. Maybe the bubble bath and body wash one week or one month. Then the facewash and body scrub another. It is possible to build up a pamper night stock of products easily without breaking the bank all at once.
Don’t forget, you can always ask for them as gifts. There’s birthdays, anniversaries, mothers day, and Christmas.
I find that this is the perfect combination of products to take an hours break from the kids and mum life and just focus on me for a while.
