We all remember Christmas morning as children. This is because it was the most magical, wonderful and exciting morning of the year. Something we all looked forward to and we truly believed that Father Christmas has delivered all our presents and Christmas stockings.
Update for 2020
Now I have children of my own I get to recreate that magic that is lost as we grow up, to do this I have come up with 7 ways that you can create that Christmas magic for Christmas morning
Father Christmas Footprints
You can create the footprints out of flour, glitter, fake snow or you can make a boot print in paint onto paper. These could lead the way to the living room where he’s left the presents or in the fireplace where he landed after coming down the chimney.
The treats you left out are gone
It doesn’t matter what you leave as a treat for Father Christmas because if it’s vanished on Christmas morning then your children will be over the moon. Don’t forget something for the reindeer! You could make some yummy treats as part of your Christmas traditions?
Father Christmas has left a note
A special note left by Father Christmas on Christmas morning will be met by excitement.

Reindeer fur
Easy to do if you have a cat or dog that malts easily, if not enlist the help of a friend that has one. You could leave the reindeer fur with the note to add a bit more magic.
An extra special delivery on Christmas Eve.
Something my stepdad did for my brothers and sister. He used to hand-deliver a small gift for each of them and pose as Father Christmas, and this is where they used to discover the reindeer hair. Or a Christmas eve box?
The use of fake snow-dusted onto things where Father Christmas has been.
You can pick up any sort of fake snow really easily at Christmas time. The fake snow can be used with the footprints or sprinkled in different areas downstairs. A perfect way to make it look like Father Christmas dropped some off of his coat and boots.
Hallway full of hanging snowflakes for Christmas morning.
Cut out some paper snowflakes and hang with fishing line, ribbon or tinsel. You could even use leftover decorations to create a grotto outside their bedrooms.
These are just a few ideas that are super easy and simple to do for Christmas morning or you can read here for ideas on great Christmas traditions you can start with your family.
